Finally a new post......

Ok....it has been such a whirlwind week or two since I posted last......and well, I just couldn't get to my blog to update it. So let's just bullet point the cool things quickly:

1. I made the creative team at The Digishoppe......it was a lark and I wasn't sure if I wanted to do another team but I really liked the stuff in the store and the people seemed quite friendly there. And the best part is - there are a lot of TDC girls there that I recognize so it just feels already homey.
2. Amber Clegg asked if I would assist her with her designs and of course I said yes.....I love helping out designers and love it more when they give you the flexibility to create the layouts you want without restrictions. Her stuff really rocks and definitely my style so will be easy to use on my layouts.
3. Laura from The Digichick asked me to take on the task of updating the site's blog so she can do other things......I think it is a bit funny since I kind of forget mine. But hoping now that I will be doing that - I will be more faithful here.....I hope.
4. I decided on a lark (I keep doing that huh?) that I would enter the Ultimate Digital Scrapper contest at http://digiscrappin.biz/ I kind of don't like doing contests like this because sometimes people get too overly obsessed about their entries and comments and views and it just turns really nice people into people you just don't want to be around. But I thought it would be time to challenge myself and just try. I don't have any aspirations or notions that I would be in the final round - I just want to try for me. But I have seen the threads already at various sites about why don't I get comments or why is my layout not this or that....and it makes me sad because somewhere people forget the reason they scrapbook - to preserve memories for their family, friends and future.....not for Jane Doe at XCC board. Art is subjective - some like this and some like that......and because of that, it should not be taken personal. Funny how people forget that.
