WARNING: RANTING MOM!!!

Sigh.....my girls are two of the most loving wonderful girls in the world but they have this little problem about picking up things. I am sure most parents suffer through this but today was the last straw. I get up very early to get to work so I can get off early and I am always late and running around. But this morning I come down and had to hop over shoes and socks and bookbags at the edge of the staircase. My purse was buried under blankets and jackets the girls had thrown on the computer chair. My computer/scrapbook area had a "Littlest Pet Shop" parade going down one side of the table meaning that I would have to walk around through the kitchen in order to get to my computer area. There I was greeted with Hayley's books and whatever snack she didn't eat from last night. The kitchen was scary, there was notes that "magically" appeared for me to sign that weren't there last night next to two 1/2 empty bottles of juice just ready for someone to knock down all over the mail and notes I needed to sign. And where were my girls???? One was asleep and the other had pushed aside the "mess" to sit comfortably eating cereal and watch some TV!! Now please don't think my home is like this all the time - in fact there is a standing rule in my home - no one goes to bed until all is picked up. So what happened???? I know I was tired last night but I swear I would have noticed that I had to hop over bookbags to get to my bed......needless to say......no one is getting chore monies this week....and there will be some serious cleaning done in my home tonight! Kids!

Ah man Darla, I feel for you, I had to do all the chores last night before I could go to bed so Kurt wouldn't freak when he got up to go to work :)
